Fantasy illustrator Frank Frazetta passed away at the age of 82 (and Lena Horne, at the age of 92). I grew up staring at Frazetta’s otherwordly scenarios, sword-wielding men and barely clad yet buff, powerful women. Sad.
Local stop-motion animator Kari Jo Skogquist has this piece in the 4th Aniboom Awards. Watch it. It’s classic old school style stop motion animation.
Apparently IT ALSO WORKS! Actual children have actually learned how to tie their shoes from watching this cartoon.

Ultimately, the decision lies with Neil Patrick Harris and the other judges. But the higher the rating, the more likely it is that the piece will be considered for The Big Prize.

We’re still having trouble with our internet tubes at home. Thankfully there’s the Saint Paul Public Library System! Yesterday we visited the Highland Park branch. Today it’s the Merriam Park branch.
